Ngày 01/11/15 vừa qua trong dịp Lễ khánh thành 7 cây cầu tại Cồn Đeo, Các đoàn thiện nguyện gồm Chùa Huyền Trang, Chùa Pháp Hoa và Vườn nhân ái đã trao tặng 200 suất quà cứu trợ cho hộ nghèo và 200 quà cho học sinh nghèo tại Cồn Đeo và Cồn Ốc. Hôm ấy giữa trưa trời nắng rát da, vậy mà hàng trăm người già lẫn trẻ vẫn chờ đợi đoàn phát quà vì thiếu tàu đón khách. Thật thương khi nhìn những chiếc xe đạp cũ thồ quà về nhà.
